xx Runaway Experiment
« Thread started on: Nov 11th, 2012, 04:18am »

Fiona Schwann, a 19 year old girl with long brown hair and hazel eyes, had just finished another useless day of work and had arrived home. The marcs were going down in value so Fiona wasn't even sure if working mattered anymore. The time was during World War II. A few years ago, she had been working with Ludwig, making cuckoo clocks. Those were happier times...She had befriended the seemingly unfriendly Ludwig Beilschmidt, and she helped him to lighten up when he wasn't working. However, she never noticed his angry ramblings about some man from France.
When the war started, Ludwig had gone away to fight in the army. She told Ludwig to come back safely.

Just when she was about to read a good book, she heard a knock on the door, snapping out her happier memories. She stood up and opened the door to see nazi soldiers on her doorstep. One of them demanded "Fiona Schwann. Come with us,". The man seemed stern and angry, causing fear to rise in Fiona's heart. Something about this soldier warned Fiona, that she was going to die if she went with him. Before she could run, the soldiers grabbed her and started pulling her to the truck. She struggled but stopped when she saw Ludwig among the soldiers. She widened her eyes and asked "Ludwig?!". He turned away and she called "Ludwig! Ludwig, help me!". He seemed to ignore her and walked away, making her scream his name "LUDWIG!" before she was knocked out.

When she woke up, she was at Auschwitz, with the feeling of being betrayed prominent in her heart. With a Jewish star on her clothes, she worked at the concentration camp, until that fateful day.
A mad scientist, by the name of Dr. Von Metzger, studied the concentration camp prisoners for the perfect test subjects. He picked five men, five women, and five children. Among those chosen people, was Fiona Schwann. Fiona had no choice but to go willingly, or be killed. She thought for sure, that she was going to die.

Days in the prison of Dr. Von Metzger's lab went by, and Fiona had to listen to the screams of the other so-called 'subjects' as terrible experiments were done to them.
Soon, Fiona was the last subject, and she was strapped to the table. She struggled in vain, tears pouring down her face as she mentally begged (hoping against all hope) Ludwig to come and save her. She heard cackling and she looked to the side to see an old scientist. He said to her with a wicked and crazed smirk on his face "Good evening, vermin. My name is Dr. Von Metzger and you vill be my newest test subject. I hope you live long enough to give me good enough results,". He then turned away from her and gathered some supplies. She shook in fear as she asked with dread "Vhat...Vhat are you going to do to me?!". The Dr. turned to her and he asked "Hm? Oh, I vill only be implanting a tissue sample and blood sample into your system. You vill have the same tissue and blood in your system as Germany himself! Hee hee hee!". Fiona struggled as she shouted "You're crazy! All of you are crazy!". Dr. Von Metzger answered "Vell, There is a thin line between genius and insanity. Don't vorry. If you're lucky, you may get to become ze Ultimate Soldier!". He then let out a loud maniacal cackle before he continued "But until zen, sweet dreams, vermin,". Fiona saw him stick a syringe into her wrist against her will and her mind was overcome by the darkness of unconsciousness.

She soon woke up again to find herself in the dark lab. She could hear Dr. Von Metzger and the other scientists talking to each other. From what she heard it seemed as though they had deemed her dead. She tugged at the straps that held her down, only for them to snap. The straps had broken...just from a mere tug from her?! She did the same to the rest of the straps, and she looked to the doctors when they turned to her. She saw that they were about to scream, but didn't and seemed to keep staring into Fiona's eyes. Fiona blinked, breathing heavily in fright. She didn't know what happened to them, but she decided to not waste this chance. She jumped off of the table and ran for it.

She ran as fast as she could, for some reason, the soldiers she passed, seemed stunned as soon as they stared into her eyes. Again, Fiona didn't question it. For now, running was important. Getting as far away from that place as possible was important. After that, she hadn't heard a single word of Dr. Von Metzger or of the soldiers of that place ever again. It seemed as though they had given up on chasing after her...

*~*~*

Fiona gasped snapping her eyes open, sitting up in bed, panting from the nightmarish memories once again. She sighed and sobbed. Now, the year was 2012. She still looked like the 19 year old girl who was condemned to die in Auschwitz. At first, after she escaped, she tried to kill herself, but her attempts never worked. Not even when she shot herself in the head or heart. Over the past years, Fiona had been trying to live a normal life. She managed to find a way to prevent others from being hypnotized by her eyes, by wearing sunglasses, and she managed to get a job and an apartment. Of course, because of her immortality, there were times when she had to fake her own death and move to a different country, where hopefully nobody recognized her (if someone did, then she would use her hypnotism). Over the years, her appearance changed. Now she had long red hair. Her eyes, well, she wasn't sure what color they were now. She didn't dare to look in the mirror and hypnotize herself. After eating breakfast and getting a shower, she placed on her dark dark shades, and grabbed her white and red stick that showed that she was blind and headed out to get to her job.

She walked down the sidewalk, tapping the ground with her pole every so often. She stopped at the crosswalk, with a few people. She soon saw the light turn green and she stepped out into the street. However, a car was speeding towards her, and she didn't realize until it was too late. She turned her head at the sound of the loud long beep from the car horn, and gasped. Sure, she can't die, but she was still scared.

Alfred and Kiku were driving around in Alfred's car, which ironically, was manufactured in Kiku's place. Kiku was visiting Alfred's home, and they decided to take a drive around so he could show Kiku all there was to see. It was when Alfred realized he was missing a football game that things began to get dangerous. Speeding as fast as he could to the nearest sports bar, Alfred blew past the red light and didn't notice the people in the crosswalk until it was too late. He stepped on the brakes and kept his hand on the horn as he tried stopping in time, but he didn't slow down enough to not hit her. "OhGodOhGodOhGod..." he kept repeating to himself as he took off his seatbelt as soon as the car came to a complete stop. Kiku just gulped as he was holding onto the seat for dear life, and had been doing so ever since Alfred began driving crazy.

Getting out of the car, Alfred ran over to Fiona, and realized she had a walking stick and sunglasses. "And she's blind, too!" he shouted, making himself feel even guiltier. He got onto his knees and examined her body, checking for a pulse. "Please be okay..." he murmured, even though it felt useless.

Fiona yelped as was knocked down to the ground, but thankfully, she wasn't completely run over. The impact of the car, had unfortunately knocked her shades off. Thankfully, Fiona wasn't knocked out for too long. After a few minutes of America checking her pulse, she gasped taking in a breath, and groaned in pain, holding her ribs.

She opened her eyes and groaned "Owww!", keeping her eyes closed. She then opened her eyes and looked to Alfred, realizing that he was the driver and groaned "You a-hole...I could've died!". Alfred would be able to see that her eyes were unusual. Her eyes were blue with green spirals. She looked at him in the eyes for a minute, until realizing something was wrong. Her sight wasn't as dark as it was supposed to be...Her sunglasses!

She swore "Oh shit!" as she quickly grabbed her sunglasses and put them on over her eyes (She was glad and lucky that they weren't broken). She looked back to Alfred hoping that the damage wasn't done. What she didn't know, is that America's passenger, was safe from her gaze because America's head was blocking the view.

"Ohthankgoodness," Alfred sighed in relief as she took in a breath, making it obvious she was still alive. He didn't even care that she had cursed at him, he deserved it, after all, and was being quite an a-hole, really...

But then he got a good look of her eyes... they were blue and green, and... so... mesmerizing! Alfred just wanted to stare deeper and deeper into her eyes. His thoughts just seemed to be sucked away into the depths of her eyes, and by the time she had put her shades back on, his eyes were half lidded and his expression was blank.

After Fiona had her sunglasses back she saw Alfred's face, and realized that the damage was done. She hissed, wincing her eyes "No!". She then 'felt' (slapped the ground a bit, until she 'found' her cane), and she stood up. She saw the crowd of people who were staring at her and she called "I'm ok! I'm ok! Everything's fine!". The crowd dispersed, believing Fiona's words. She then looked to Alfred and she sighed. Time to do some memory erasing. She looked to Alfred, her eyes peeking over the sunglasses discreetly, and she said "Ok, come with me. We need to talk for a bit,". She then started walking towards an alleyway, tapping the ground as she led the way. She needed to erase Alfred's memory and set him free in private, away from prying eyes. However, she forgot about a certain passenger.

Alfred did nothing but nod and follow her, staying with her speed as she led him into an alleyway.

Kiku blinked as they began walking away, but sighed and decided they must be talking out of traffic or exchanging information or something. Though it was stupid Alfred left his car here in the middle of traffic. Distracted from Alfred and Fiona, Kiku began thinking how much easier what he was about to do would be if the wheel was suddenly on the right side like it was back home in Japan. He sighed again, took off his seatbelt, went around and sat in the driver's seat. Then he got the car moving out of traffic so it was safe, but stopped when he noticed he was in front of the alley Alfred and Fiona were in. Pulling the car over, Kiku kept a watchful and curious eye on the two.

When Fiona and Alfred were in the alleyway. Fiona took in a few shaky breaths. She always hated her mind control. She already felt inhuman as she was now, the fact that she can control people's minds made her feel even more inhuman, and possibly evil. An evil being that didn't want to be evil...What a concept, huh? Fiona couldn't help but mentally laugh with bitterness.

She sighed and she muttered "Let's get this overwith,". She turned to Alfred, and pulled off her shades to show her eyes. She said, issuing her 'commands', with a gentle and calming, yet alluring voice, "Alright. You will remember that you did hit me. But after you checked on me, you found that I was perfectly unharmed. You will not remember staring me in the eyes, how it felt when you did stare into my eyes, and every other detail you sensed while you were under hypnosis. Oh! And you won't remember what I looked like or who I was during that incident. All you'll know is that you hit some poor blind person,".

She went over the details in her head, and after believing that she got everything, she decided to finish "When I say 'Be Free', you will wake up and go back to normal in 1 minute. Ready? 1...2...3...Be Free,". After she said that, she then sped walked off, while putting her sunglasses back on. It wouldn't be until she was out of the alleyway and on her way to work that the minute would be up and Alfred would wake up.

Alfred nodded as every command of hers sunk deep into his mind, with none of his thoughts able to interfere at all, forcing him to obey. As she walked off a mental minute began counting in Alfred's head. He also went over her commands as they took effect. He remembered speeding to get to a sports bar, burning a red light and hitting some poor blind person. He got out of the car to check on her and found she was perfectly unharmed. He couldn't remember anything else that happened after that, though. Soon, the minute was up, and life returned to his face. He looked around, finding it odd that he was suddenly in an alley. Seeing his car, he walked over to it as Kiku opened the driver door and got out so Alfred could get in. "Why did you and her go into see arrey?"

As Alfred sat down he gave Kiku a weird look. "Huh? What do you mean? Who?"

Kiku thought about this answer as he walked around the front of the car and sat back down himself. "Se girr you hit... what were you two tarking about here?"

Alfred blinked at Kiku and when he mentioned that it was someone he had hit, he blinked and said "OH!" realizing that he was talking about that person...who he couldn't remember, but he didn't let that bother him. He shrugged and said "I don't know. It was probably nothing to worry about, dude,". He then smiled brightly and said "Oh yeah! We got a game to watch! I hope we didn't miss out on the good parts!". Remembering the fact that he was speeding earlier, he assured Kiku "Don't worry! The Hero has learned his lesson and will not speed! Because I'M THE HERO!". He then drove off to the nearest sports bar. This time with safe driving. He wasn't too concerned about the loss of memories, and figured that Kiku was just trying to be humorous.

Fiona sighed as she reached her place of work, and after being greeted by her co-workers, and her friend, Maggie, she went to work. She was a typist at a newspaper. Although, her computer had a brail keyboard, and she purposely added in typos, to keep up the appearance that she was blind.

Alfred tried to remember but he couldn't and he grew pale. He said to Kiku a little worried himself "Dude...I really don't know. I don't remember anything. The girl had red hair?".
He then groaned with a hand on his forehead and he muttered "Maybe Britain's right. Maybe I do need to lay off of Mickey D's for a while,". He then shook his and said "Wait! What am I saying?! Mickey D's isn't to blame for this!". His eyes had the anime spirals of dizziness as he groaned "Arrggh! I don't know what's going on!".

*~*~*

While Fiona was typing, Maggie came up to her cubicle and knocked three times. After Maggie knocked, Fiona looked up and Maggie said hyperactively "Hey girlfriend!", and Fiona answered calmly "Hello, Maggie. What is it this time?". Maggie pouted and asked "Aww! Do you have to be so serious?! You really need to lighten up!". Fiona sighed at her comment, and said "Sorry, I'm just stressed,". Maggie giggled and said "I understand!". She then said "Oh! Speaking of lightening up, the other co-workers and I are gonna go to a Karaoke bar tonight after work! You interested in coming?". Fiona nodded and said "Sure. Thank you for inviting me,". Maggie nodded and said "Awright! We'll be meeting out front of this building after work! See you then!". Fiona nodded to her, and went back to work, as Maggie skipped off.

Kiku put a hand on Alfred's shoulder and made sure he kept his eyes on the road. "Carm down... Terr me you at reast remember yourself sat her hair was red... right...?" Kiku was starting to worry for Alfred's health himself. Perhaps his memory was getting bad... or... maybe there was something up with that girl...

Alfred took in a few deep breaths and he answered Kiku as he searched his memory "No dude. I don't even remember if her hair was actually red or not. I can't even remember if the person I hit was actually a girl or not! The only thing I remember about them was that they were blind. But they have to be a red headed girl since you saw her!".
Alfred thought a bit and muttered "Dude. Something really really weird is going on,". He knew that this can't be because of his health deteriorating. Something supernatural actually happened. Alfred started thinking trying to figure out what could've happened...and maybe using it to his advantage when he needed it.

Kiku nodded, agreeing that this was too odd to be the fault of Alfred's health. It had to be the girl. "Sere has to be somesing wis sat girr, sen... You know... now sat I sink about it, your head was brocking her eyes so I courdn't see sem... Perhaps sat may have somesing to do wis sis...?"

Alfred blinked at Kiku's comment and he questioned "You think she has those weird eyes like that snake from Jungle Book?". He was about to refute it, but he then thought about it and said "Dude! You may be on to something! I can't remember anything after she looked at me, nor can I remember what color her eyes are!".
He then said "We definitely should question her,". He then asked "You didn't happen to catch her name did you?". As the national personification of America, he can easily get the information on a particular citizen. All he would need is the name. If Kiku didn't know, then Alfred could get Tony to figure it out.
